Neal Henderson began coaching endurance sport athletes in the early 1990's. He has helped numerous athletes achieve first-time finishes, and has coached several national champions, multiple world champions, and several Olympians. Neal raced triathlon professionally from 2000-2003 specializing in XTERRA and Winter Triathlon. He is an Elite USA Triathlon and USA Cycling certified coach and was the 2007 USA Cycling Developmental Coach of the Year. He was also named the 2009 USA National Cycling Coach of the Year.
Neal's wife, Jane Henderson, is a USA Triathlon Level 1 coach. Her experience lies in working with women and youth triathletes. Jane is also a triathlete, with numerous sprint and Olympic-distance triathlon finishes. They together in Boulder, CO with their two daughters - Renee and Abigail.
Grant Holicky is the newest addition to the APEX Coaching staff. He is currently the Director of Aquatics at Rallysport Health and Fitness and is head coach of Rallysport Aquatics (RACE) in Boulder, CO. He is a retired professional triathlete and ASCA Level IV swim coach and has coached multiple Olympic Trials swimmers and a national champion.
